In a pivotal game midway through the season, the University of Toledo football team saw a halftime lead disappear, falling 31-17 to Buffalo on Saturday at the Glass Bowl.
Both Toledo’s Mitch Guadagni and Buffalo’s Tyree Jackson threw early interceptions before Toledo opened the scoring when Bryant Koback raced 70 yards up the middle for a TD to give the Rockets a 7-0 lead with 4:54 left in the first quarter.
Buffalo then tied the game on a 34-yard touchdown connection from Jackson to Anthony Johnson.
Early in the second quarter, Toledo backup quarterback Eli Peters entered the game for Guadagni.
