AUBURN, Ala. – The Toledo softball team split its doubleheader on Day Two of the Jane B. Moore Memorial Tournament on Saturday. The Rockets defeated Chattanooga 5-4 in the morning, and ended up short in a 9-0 (5 inn.) final to No. 20 Auburn.
In the morning game with Chattanooga, neither team could keep a lead longer than half an inning. In the third, senior Dayna Denner smashed a solo home run, her fourth of the season, to give the Rockets a one-run lead. Three batters later junior Riley Mohr hit an RBI single to tally one more run for the Rockets (3-1).
