BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The University of Toledo softball team visited arch-rival Bowling Green for a doubleheader on Wednesday, earning a twin bill split against the Falcons.
The Rockets rebounded to win the second game, 2-1, after dropping the first game by a score of 5-4.
Toledo trailed 5-1 heading into the top of the seventh in game one before launched her 13 home run of the season, a three-run shot to pull the Rockets within one. Unfortunately UT's comeback attempt would end in the next at-bat, allowing BGSU to take game one.
Denner reached base in all four of her at-bats in the first game, walking three times in addition to blasting her seventh-inning home run.
