The University of Toledo men's basketball team was in need of a win in the worst way.
Mired in its second five-game losing skid of the season, the Rockets made the plays they needed to down the stretch to earn a 65-57 win over Miami on Tuesday night at Savage Arena.
“That was a much-needed win with our backs against the wall,” Toledo coach Tod Kowalczyk said. “I'm proud at how our guys responded. I thought Monday's practice was one of the best we've had, if not the best we've had.”
On Tuesday night, Marreon Jackson had 24 points and grabbed a career-high 10 rebounds to lead Toledo (12-13, 4-8 MAC).
