University of Toledo signee Leroy Blyden, Jr., is a finalist for Michigan’s Mr. Basketball award.
The 6-foot point guard from University of Detroit Jesuit is averaging 21.5 points, seven rebounds, six assists, and three steals per game.
“He’s a tremendous player, and he plays with a lot of confidence,” UDJ coach Pat Donnelly told The Blade after Blyden led the Cubs to a win over St. John’s Jesuit in December. “He’s got a lot of poise, and he's a guy that can go get you a basket when you need one.”
Blyden has led UDJ in scoring, rebounding, assists, and steals the past two seasons.
