KENT, OH – Toledo rode a red-hot shooting performance in the second half to an 82-67 triumph at Kent State on Saturday evening. The Rockets shot a season-high 58.7 percent, including a scorching 75.0 percent in the second half, to win for the second time in their last three visits to the M.A.C. Center.
Toledo (14-9, 5-5 MAC) also registered a season-best 63.2 three-point field-goal percentage, knocking down 12-of-19 attempts behind the arc, in addition to an impressive 88.9 percent (16-of-18) from the charity stripe.
Senior center Nathan Boothe tallied a game-high 26 points and 12 rebounds for his fifth straight double-double and his 11th of the season.
