Toledo recruit Blyden runner-up in Michigan Mr. Basketball voting

DETROIT — University of Toledo men's basketball signee Leroy Blyden, Jr., finished second in Michigan Mr. Basketball voting on Monday.

The 6-foot point guard from University of Detroit Jesuit High School finished behind winner and Michigan commit Trey McKenney of Orchard Lake St. Mary’s. McKenney won the award with 4,897 points, and Blyden collected 2,019 points.

Blyden averaged 21.5 points, seven rebounds, six assists, and three steals per game.
