Toledo PFF grades: Running backs fair well in pass protection

Each week, The Blade will recap the most interesting Toledo football grades released by Pro Football Focus, the scouting website that evaluates players’ performance on every play of every game. For context, grades are based on a 0-100 scale.

Ethan Spoth (72.3 offense): The sophomore right guard has the third-highest overall offensive grade, behind wide receivers Jerjuan Newton (82.5) and Junior Vandeross III (72.4). Among offensive linemen, he was first in pass blocking (86.3) and run blocking (67.6). The first-year starter has hit his stride in recent weeks, with his highest-graded performances coming in successive games.
