Toledo, Ohio— Toledo and Dayton faced off in non-conference baseball action on Tuesday afternoon, and the Rockets were on the losing end of a 12-9 decision,
It was an unusual game, with the Flyers scoring their 12 runs on just four hits, while UT pounded out 12 hits but walked a season-high 15 batters. Dayton took an early 4-0 lead after scoring four in the top of the first, and appeared to blow the game open with a five-run sixth inning. Trailing 12-4, Toledo plated five runs in the bottom of the ninth, all with two outs, and had the tying run come to the plate, but it proved to be too little too late.
