No University of Toledo players were taken on the final day of the NFL draft, but several have signed free agent deals.
Among them is Dallas Gant, the Toledo native and former St. John’s Jesuit standout. Gant, who starred at Toledo in 2022 and ’23, signed an undrafted free agent deal with the Minnesota Vikings.
It was a mild surprise that the 6-foot-2, 224-pound linebacker went undrafted after a positive pro day performance that elevated his stock to the sixth- or seventh-round window.
The two-time first-team All-MAC performer had 233 tackles in two seasons at Toledo, including 14½ tackles for loss.
