The University of Toledo men’s basketball season will continue in the National Invitation Tournament.
The Rockets (26-7) will play top-seeded Dayton (23-10). UT, however, will host the game, as the University of Dayton Arena is hosting the men’s NCAA First Four and the Ohio High School Athletic Association boys basketball championships this week.
If UT beats Dayton, it will play the winner of No. 4 seed (17-16) Vanderbilt and Belmont (25-7).
This is UT’s 11th trip to the NIT and fourth during the Tod Kowalczyk era. Toledo has made six postseason appearances under Kowalczyk — four NITs, one College Basketball Invitational, and one CollegeInsider.
