FAIRBORN, Ohio — The University of Toledo men’s basketball team nursed a one-point lead for the final minute and 25 seconds of its game Tuesday at Wright State, holding on for a 78-77 victory at the Nutter Center to improve to 3-0.
A game in which neither team led by more than five points in the second half, Toledo took the lead for good with 6:23 to go on a dunk by Dante Maddox, Jr. Sonny Wilson’s jumper with 2:31 remaining put the Rockets up 77-73, but Trey Calvin’s jumper 14 seconds later cut UT’s lead to two.
