As the University of Toledo men's basketball team prepares for a game at Notre Dame on Thursday, Rockets coach Tod Kowalczyk sees a lot of similarities between his team and the Fighting Irish under coach Mike Brey.
“They are a lot like us,” Kowalczyk said. “They are a very skilled team. They play an eight-man rotation. They play man-to-man defense and mix in a little bit of 2-3 zone. They are a team that is really a high-assist team and plays the right way.”
For a mid-major team like Toledo, chances to play in a big-time environment against an ACC opponent are hard to come by.
