Tod Kowalczyk isn’t the type to panic.

And certainly not in November. However, the University of Toledo has some issues to fix before the New Year.

For the second consecutive game, the Rockets were hammered. On Saturday, it was Oakland’s turn, as the Golden Grizzlies defeated UT 85-52 at Savage Arena.

“That’s not Rocket basketball,” Kowalczyk said.

Point guard Sonny Wilson said he couldn’t even speak.

“This is embarrassing,” he said. “Especially playing here in front of our home fans. Then we got blown out down in Florida. It’s awful.”

Oakland outscored Toledo 51-29 in the second half one week after UC San Diego had a 46-20 second-half advantage in the Boardwalk Battle championship game in Daytona Beach, Fla.
