Toledo men's basketball can't keep up with hot-shooting Kent State

Kent State shot lights out at Savage Arena on Tuesday, dealing the University of Toledo an 83-64 setback in Mid-American Conference play.

The Golden Flashes shot 57 percent from the field, hitting 30 of 53 shots, and 63 percent (12 of 19) from 3-point range. Kent State also made all 11 free-throw attempts it took.

“I thought we got our tails kicked from start to finish,” UT coach Tod Kowalczyk said. “Kent State was a team that was shooting 21 percent from 3 coming into the game. At halftime they were 9 for 11 from 3. They put us on our heels.
