It’s been a month since the University of Toledo paused all men’s basketball activities due to a coronavirus outbreak on the team, and it’s been just over two weeks since the Rockets began ramping up their workouts again.
But the process of getting into basketball shape has been far from easy, despite the excitement and appreciation from the players they are able to play at all.
“The response from the time off, it does take quite a bit because when you're in a hotel room for 14 days, or in isolation for 10 days, I think it takes seven to 10 days to get back into basketball shape,” Toledo coach Tod Kowalczyk said.
