Marko Maletic, a 3-point specialist who led Long Island University in scoring last season, is transferring to Toledo for the upcoming men’s basketball season.
Maletic, a 6-foot-6 guard from London, Ontario, averaged a team-high 15.9 points per game last season. He ranked 30th nationally with 2.88 made 3-point field goals per game and shot 38.8 percent from beyond the arc.
“Marko is an elite shooter and a floor spacer, but he’s more than that. I think he has a really good feel for how to play,” Toledo coach Tod Kowalczyk said in a news release. “Marko is also good with the ball in his hands and has a lot of international experience playing with the Canadian National Team.
