After a miserable first half, the Toledo men's basketball team found its shooting touch on Saturday at Savage Arena as the Rockets caught fire in the second half of a 71-57 win over visiting Valparaiso.
After connecting on just 25 percent of its shots in the first half, Toledo (6-3) converted on 50 percent in the second half.
The Rockets’ offense committed a season-low four turnovers, and the defense forced nine turnovers and Toledo finished with a 44-36 rebounding edge.
Rockets coach Tod Kowalczyk said his team got good looks in the first half, but the shots just weren't falling.
