YPSILANTI, Mich. — A scary situation unfolded during the second quarter of the Toledo-Eastern Michigan game Saturday.
With 7:30 left until halftime, Toledo linebacker Jeremiah Peters collapsed on the UT sideline following an Eastern Michigan field goal. A play was not occurring when he collapsed.
The game was delayed for several minutes for a “medical emergency,” according to game officials. Peters was alert and upright when he was placed on a stretcher and put in an ambulance.
There are no details about what happened to Peters, a junior from Miami who played during the first half.
