The University of Toledo football team got a big boost to its 2019 recruiting class when Detroit King quarterback Dequan Finn pledged to the Rockets on Friday after decommitting from Central Michigan.
While it may not be a surprise that Finn withdrew his commitment to CMU after the Chippewas fired coach John Bonamego, it did come as a bit of surprise that Finn chose Toledo so quickly.

“With no coach in place, I’m not surprised he decommitted from Central,” 247Sports recruiting analyst Allen Trieu said. “I know Toledo was in there, but I thought he might take a minute to look around at some other schools to make a decision.
