The University of Toledo football team outlasted Kent State 35-33 in a shootout on Tuesday night at the Glass Bowl.
Toledo got a late stop on a Kent State 2-point conversion try and then ran out the remaining clock after picking up a key 4th-and-1 on a 10-yard run from running back Shakif Seymour.
The winning mood was lessened by a second-quarter injury to sophomore running back Bryant Koback who exited the game with a leg injury and was carted to the locker room.
Toledo got on the board early when Koback scored on a 14-yard run after taking the option pitch from quarterback Eli Peters on the Rockets first possession of the game.
