Call it the letdown that wasn’t a letdown.
Coming off a mammoth win at No. 14 Michigan, a sleepy effort against winless Dayton on Sunday afternoon was to be expected from Toledo.
The final result — Rockets 57, Flyers 45 — ended up being a coach’s dream: a win, but UT had enough mistakes that Tricia Cullop and her coaching staff can harp on the players for the next 10 days until they return to action Dec. 21 against Oakland.
“I’m glad we got the win. It was not pretty, and that’s about all I have to say about it,” said Toledo coach Tricia Cullop, who was equal parts perturbed and amused.
