The Toledo-Michigan State game from 2020 will take place after all.
The Rockets and Spartans will meet Sept. 5, 2026 in Spartan Stadium. Better late than never.
The game was originally scheduled for Sept. 19, 2020, but the conference-only schedules last season because of the coronavirus pandemic prevented it from being played. Toledo is due $1.2 million, according to the contract signed in 2017.
The contest will mark the second meeting between the schools. The first was in 1925 when Toledo was in its ninth year of fielding a varsity football team.
Toledo is 6-15 all-time against Big Ten schools and 6-10 since its first win over Purdue in 1992.
