AMHERST, N.Y. — Halloween came early for the University of Toledo.
The Rockets came to western New York as a double-digit favorite on Saturday. Their only problem was the game site: UB Stadium, Toledo’s house of horrors.
Buffalo out-muscled and out-worked Toledo in a smashmouth 30-15 win, improving to 5-2 against the Rockets in Buffalo and 4-1 at UB Stadium.
“Out-coached us, out-played us in a lot of ways in this football game,” Toledo coach Jason Candle said.
