Entering Saturday’s game at Mississippi State, Toledo ranked fourth nationally in kickoff returns (38.5 yards per return) and 12th in punt returns (22.3 yards). Coordinator Stanton Weber rejuvenated UT’s special teams last season, elevating the units to greater heights in 2024.
“There’s tremendous value,” Weber said. “Anytime I’m game planning for a kickoff or a punt, you’ve got to deal with a guy who’s good. You’ve got to think about that.
