The University of Toledo football team is scheduled to open its 2020 home schedule with a matchup against San Diego State on Saturday, Sept. 12 at the Glass Bowl.
On Tuesday, California State University Chancellor Timothy P. White announced CSU schools would hold classes this fall in a mostly virtual format, leaving many to wonder if schools like San Diego State will in fact be able to have its fall athletic sports go on as usual.
A statement Tuesday from Mountain West commissioner Craig Thompson, Fresno State president Joseph Castro, San Diego State president Adela de la Torre and San Jose State president Mary Papazian read: “Certainly, all conversations are led by academics, as well as public health and safety.
