The University of Toledo football team received a commitment from a head-turning running back Monday.
Shawn Simeon, a three-star 2025 prospect out of Naples High School in Florida, picked Toledo over offers from Florida State, Iowa, Illinois, and Indiana, among others.

The 5-foot-9, 175-pound speedster led all of southwest Florida with 2,040 rushing yards. He scored 27 touchdowns and rushed for 200 yards five times. In a regional semifinal victory, Simeon had 387 yards and seven touchdowns, which set a state record for TDs in a playoff game.
