NASSAU, Bahamas — All of the positive momentum Toledo created during a torrid November came crashing down on Friday afternoon in the Bahamas.
Under a sun-kissed sky, the Rockets lost to Middle Tennessee State 31-24 in the Bahamas Bowl, falling victim to many of the shortcomings that plagued their six-loss season.
“Obviously, we’re disappointed with the outcome of the football game,” Toledo coach Jason Candle said. “It’s a bittersweet deal, and [a] tough thing to watch this senior class go out today because these guys have given a lot to us and poured their heart and soul into this football program.
