LEXINGTON, Ky. — The University of Toledo football team went into halftime even with Kentucky but ultimately fell 38-24 on Saturday afternoon at Kroger Field.
Toledo took the opening drive for a score after a big 39-yard connection from Mitch Guadagni to Danzel-McKinley-Lewis who hauled in the diving catch. Bryant Koback finished the drive with a 5-yard touchdown run that gave Toledo an early 7-0 lead.
Kentucky responded with a 14-play, 97-yard drive that was capped off when tight end Justin Rigg recovered a fumble from UK running back Chris Rodriguez in the end zone. That tied the game 7-7 with 14:55 left in the second quarter.
