University of Toledo special teams coordinator and tight ends coach Robby Discher has been hired by Louisiana to be the special teams coordinator and defensive assistant for the Ragin' Cajuns.
Discher was at Toledo for four years from 2016 to 2019. In 2018, his special teams unit blocked seven kicks and was ranked No. 1 in the nation in efficiency by Phil Steele magazine and No. 2 according to ESPN.com.
Phil Steele named Discher the Special Teams Coordinator of the Year in 2018.
Discher was a graduate assistant/special teams coordinator at Oklahoma State from 2014 to 2015 before coming to Toledo.
