The 2023 football season is underway.
That’s right. On a crisp Monday morning in February, the Toledo Rockets took the football field for the first time this year, just two months removed from their Boca Raton Bowl victory to end the 2022 season.
UT will practice 15 times across February, March, and April, with a one-week spring break in the middle, culminating with the spring game on April 8 at the Glass Bowl.
The mysteries are minimal this spring, as Toledo brings back 16 starters and even more depth beyond that. The most obvious losses are on the defensive line, but the Rockets are happy with last season’s backups and the transfers added in December and February.
