GUAYNABO, Puerto Rico — The University of Toledo men’s basketball team’s 118-89 victory over Guaynabo on Monday in Puerto Rico wasn’t the most aesthetically pleasing game.
It is a summer tour in the Caribbean, after all.
But it delivered plenty of promise and a sneak peek of how good the 2022-23 Rockets could be.
St. Louis transfer Andre Lorentsson had six 3s, Ball State transfer Tyler Cochran was the best defensive player on the court, and Cal State Fullerton transfer Dante Maddox had seven points, three assists, and a steal in 16 minutes.
And that was just the three transfers.
