ALLENDALE, MI - The Toledo women's track and field team scored 175.50 points to finish in second place in the Bob Eubanks Open at Grand Valley State University on Friday afternoon. The Rockets finished just two points behind host team GVSU for first place.
"This week was a much better effort and a much better performance by the team," said Toledo head coach Linh Nguyen. "They are all in a very high volume of training, so seeing some good performances today was a good sign."
Two of the better performance for the Rockets came from Joan Jepkirui in the 3000-meter run and Madison Pierce in the long jump.
