TOLEDO, Ohio – Senior CJ van Wyk tied for 14th place to lead the Toledo men's golf team to a ninth-place finish at the Inverness Intercollegiate. van Wyk birdied his final hole to finish at one-under par 68 today and at two-over par 209 during the 54-hole tournament at the par-69, 6,972-yard Inverness Club.
Junior Mads Jensen was two strokes behind van Wyk at four-over par 211 (72-67-72) and tied for 23rd place. Freshman Bence Bertenyi (T-50th/80-70-66=216) carded the Rockets' best round of the tournament today by registering seven birdies to finish with a three-under par 66.
