TOLEDO, Ohio – Toledo and Miami played a 12-inning game for the second time in as many days, but this time the RedHawks came out on top, winning Saturday's contest 14-13.
Sunday's series finale has been canceled due to weather and will be made up at a later date.
Miami led 5-0 after three innings, but Toledo's offense woke up in a big way in the middle innings. UT scored two in the fourth, six in the fifth, and three in the sixth to take an 11-7 lead heading into the seventh. The RedHawks would score two runs in the seventh, eighth, and ninth innings, but the Rockets responded in the eight and ninth to extend the game.
