MADERIA BEACH, Fla. – The Toledo softball team opened The Spring Games in Maderia Beach, Fla. Friday evening with a 7-1 setback to LIU Brooklyn.
In the first game of the day, Toledo was leading Niagara 6-1 at the top of the second when it was ruled delayed due to weather. The Rockets and Purple Eagles will resume tomorrow morning at 9:00 a.m.
In Toledo's second game, LIU Brooklyn held a 1-0 lead in the third inning when Toledo tied the score on sophomore Jenna Kroll's groundout to the pitcher that scored freshman Sidney Griffith.
