BOWLING GREEN — The University of Toledo’s stay at the Mid-American Conference volleyball tournament was a short one, as the sixth-seeded Rockets were ousted by No. 3 seed Ball State in straight sets.
Playing at regular-season champion Bowling Green, the Cardinals controlled things from the outset in a 25-16, 25-11, 25-22 victory over the Rockets.
Ball State (21-9) posted a .330 attack percentage to Toledo’s .168 mark, with the Cardinals hitting .407 in the first set and .433 in the second. The Cardinals recorded nine service aces in the match to the Rockets’ none and doubled up UT (17-14) in total blocks, 6-3.
