KALAMAZOO — The University of Toledo’s bid to win the Mid-American Conference men’s tennis tournament fell short Sunday, with UT losing 4-2 at Western Michigan.
Playing at West Hills Athletic Club, Western Michigan took an early 1-0 lead by winning the doubles point 2-1. Luka Jankovic and Adam Kovac won the No. 3 doubles set 7-5 for UT, but Western rallied from 4-3 down to win the No. 1 doubles set 6-4 and also won the No. 2 doubles set 6-3.
The Rockets’ Pawit Sornlaksup finished an unbeaten run through MAC play with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over the Broncos’ Peter Kuszynski.
