West Lafayette, Ind. – The Toledo men's tennis team finished off a two-match road swing with a 7-0 loss vs. a highly regarded Purdue squad in West Lafayette on Saturday.
Purdue took the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles. In singles action, the Rockets were close in most the matches but were unable to come away with a victory.
UT head coach Al Wermer felt like his team had opportunities for the upset.
"This was a frustrating match because we had many chances to turn the singles in our favor and navigate a long and spellbinding comeback that would have shocked Purdue," Wermer said after the match.
