Muncie, Ind.— The Toledo baseball team dropped game two of its series against Ball State, losing 7-6 in walk-off fashion.
The Rockets took a 6-2 lead after a six-run fourth, but the Cardinals chipped away at the deficit until scoring two runs in the bottom of the ninth to stun the Midnight Blue and Gold. With runners at first and second, a chopper up the middle got through the Toledo infield and allowed the game-winning run to score.
Sophomore Zach Schwartzenberger had two hits and drove in two runs, while senior Brad Boss also tallied two RBIs.
