Toledo Drops Road Match 4-0 at Illinois

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – The Toledo men's tennis team took the court against tough competition and came up short in a 4-0 loss at Illinois on Sunday afternoon at the Atkins Tennis Center.

Pawit Sornlaksup, ranked No.68 in the country, put his 44-match winning streak on the line vs. No.17 Kenta Miyoshi from the No. 1 court. Sornlaksup won the first match 7-5 and was ahead 1-0 in the second set before the match was called, maintaining his streak.

"We had an uphill battle from the beginning, and a few courts we couldn't get too much traction," Head Coach Al Wermer said.
