KENT, Ohio – The Toledo baseball team wrapped up its weekend at Kent State with a doubleheader on Sunday and lost both games against the Golden Flashes.
Game one ended with a final score of 6-3 in favor of Kent, and the Rockets lost game two, 7-6, in the bottom of the ninth.
Toledo (13-13, 6-6 MAC) scored first in both games, but Kent State (18-9, 6-3 MAC) came back to win each contest. In the first game, KSU held UT scoreless in the final five innings while managing to overcome its early deficit. In game two, The Golden Flashes tied the game at 6-6 with a three-run seventh inning and walked off the Rockets with a run in the bottom of the ninth.
