YPSILANTI, Mich. – The Toledo baseball team wrapped up its series at Eastern Michigan on Sunday, falling to the Eagles by a score of 12-11.
The Rockets hit two home runs on Sunday to bring their total to 67 for the season, which is a new single-season school record. UT entered the game with 65 home runs on the year, which was tied for most in a year in school history with the 2002 squad. Sophomore Owen Jackson's homer in the top of the fourth inning was the record-breaking blast.
Toledo appeared to be in control near the end of the game after a four-run top of the ninth put the score at 11-6.
