Coming off of their best overall performance of the season in a win over BYU, the University of Toledo defense has stepped up so far this season.
The Rockets enter Mid-American Conference play with the top scoring defense in the conference at 23.5 points per game.
“A lot of guys had a really hard job on Saturday [against BYU] and played against a really good player and they played really solid for a majority of that football game,” Toledo coach Jason Candle said. “They are playing good team defense and running to the football and being who they said they wanted to to be.
