Quinyon Mitchell joined elite company at the University of Toledo on Monday as the standout cornerback earned second-team All-America recognition from the Associated Press and the Football Writers Association of America.
Mitchell became just the second Toledo football player to earn back-to-back All-America honors from at least one of the five major teams, joining defensive lineman Mel Long, Sr. (1970-71). Mitchell was a second-team All-American from the Walter Camp Football Foundation and third team from the AP in 2022.
Mitchell, who was also named first-team All-America by Action Network on Monday, ranks second in the country with 18 pass breakups and 19 passes defended.
