TOLEDO, Ohio – The University of Toledo men's tennis team is hosting the Rocket Invite this weekend and wrapped up a long day of competition on Friday afternoon.
The Rockets played matches against Bellarmine, Chicago, and Kenyon to open the weekend.
"This is the first competition for some of our players in months for various reasons, so it's some rough waters, but I think the guys fought pretty hard together," head coach Al Wermer said.
The Rockets opened the day against Bellarmine and won five of the six matches they played. Sophomores Vlad Meluta and Wojciech Szczesny won the lone doubles competition, 6-4.
