TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo women's tennis team collected a 12-1 record on the opening day of its Indoor Rocket Invite vs. Cleveland State and Bowling Green on Friday afternoon. The Rockets won all three doubles matches and five singles against the Vikings, plus four matches against the Falcons.
"The team definitely made a statement today," head coach Tracy Mauntler said. "The confidence grows every time the squad gets on the court. We are looking to finish strong tomorrow."
Junior Cassie Alcala and senior Sloane Teske got things started for Toledo with the first doubles win of the afternoon over Cleveland State's Bethnay Youch and Selma Tounsi.
