Toledo comeback bid falls short at Miami

The University of Toledo women’s basketball team lost its second straight game, falling 67-58 to Miami on Wednesday night at Millett Hall.

Mikaela Boyd led Toledo (15-9, 6-6 MAC) with 18 points, while Kaayla McIntyre added 12 points and 10 rebounds and Mariella Santucci finished with 11 points and 10 rebounds.

Lauren Dickerson poured in 22 points to lead Miami (15-8, 7-5 MAC), Kendall McCoy added 16 points and 10 rebounds, and Kayla Brown chipped in with 10 points.

The Rockets trailed 13-10 after one quarter and 33-24 at halftime but worked their way back in the third quarter.
