The University of Toledo men’s basketball team has officially clinched a first-round bye in the MAC Tournament. Toledo is guaranteed one of the top four seeds in the conference which carry with them a bye to the quarterfinals at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland.
With two-straight losses on the road at Ball State and Eastern Michigan, Toledo finds itself one game ahead of red-hot Ball State in the MAC West.
With three games left to play, Toledo will have to maintain at least that one-game edge over Ball State in order to claim a MAC West title since the Cardinals would have the tiebreaker after earning two head-to-head wins over the Rockets.
