TOLEDO, Ohio – The Toledo softball team won its sixth-straight Mid-American Conference game with a 9-4 victory over Ball State on Saturday at Scott Park. The Rockets defeated the Cardinals 7-3 and 2-1 in Friday's doubleheader to sweep the three-game series.
Toledo (16-13, 7-2 MAC) also swept its three-game series at Bowling Green last weekend.
Toledo held a 7-0 lead through three innings before BSU got its first hit off junior in the top of the fourth. The Cardinals cut the lead to 7-2 on a two-run homer. Senior cracked a two-run homer in the bottom of the sixth to make it 9-2.
